Michael was still in the backseat with his beloved
Kitty (a stuffed dog) and Blue Blankie.
As I drove down the highway, a little voice piped up from the backseat:
"Mommy, I want to ask Jesus into my heart."
"Right now?" I asked.
"Yes, right now," he said.
So, we talked about what that means.
And then we prayed - me with my eyes still open since I was driving.
"Mommy, I have Jesus in my heart now!" he cried.
"And you know what that means? I'm a Christian!"
When I looked in the rearview mirror,
"Mommy, I want to ask Jesus into my heart."
"Right now?" I asked.
"Yes, right now," he said.
So, we talked about what that means.
And then we prayed - me with my eyes still open since I was driving.
"Mommy, I have Jesus in my heart now!" he cried.
"And you know what that means? I'm a Christian!"
When I looked in the rearview mirror,
there was a happy grin on his face.
And on mine.
