Chair-o-licious!

Shock!

She's alive! She's REALLY ALIVE!!!
And her first post upon return is about thrift store shopping.
More shock!

So, I moseyed on over to my semi-haunt to prowl for oh, I don't know...
a buffet, or say, a coffee table to upholster, or, oh, maybe ummm...
an awesome/tacky retro orange chair?????

I sat down and looked at it for about five minutes.
The legs really reminded me of my awesome soon-to-be dining room table that just needs a coat of poly-acrylic before it is our seating du jour for pleasure dining.

I do believe the Rescue Mission Workers (A.K.A. My Heroes) think I'm nuts.
They would be right.
Not a one agreed that they wanted this chair for their homes.
And then I was reminded by one that they LIVE at the Rescue Mission.

Umm, open mouth, remove foot.
Honestly, those men may be "homeless", but they are always
so gracious in their conversation with me.
Every time I'm doing a little shoppy there,
they just turn our chitty chat around to tell me
their testimonies and how God is working in their lives.
So, I'm about in tears every time I'm there,
and it's not just from the joy of a good find.

Oh, but a good find I did make.
At least in my humble, retro/tacky opinion.
I do not plan to leave it this nappy
(which can be applied in multiple ways in regards to this chair)
orange upholstery, but have GOT to finish some other projects
before I take this one on.

And look at this: this chair is already starting to pay for itself!
See the handful of change that was under the seat cushion??.
I'll make back that $25 chair cost in NO TIME.

And what does this hubbers have to say?
He just rolls his eyes at me and mutters under his breath about my addiction.

He just forgets that he married me for better or for thrift store shopping.

We can all be sweet and kind, yes? I am so thankful when my Wonder Readers share their positive thoughts with me!
