Ugh. The Snake Fest that is our yard begins. We saw our first snake today. On our sidewalk. It's a worm snake (see link below). The snake looks much bigger in the picture than it really is in person. It's only about eight inches and about the width of a thicker pencil. Alan held it in his hand for a bit (don't get me started...I'm making sure he's washing those babies good!), and then we tried putting it in the wheelbarrow to get a better picture. Last summer we had a "snake count" of about 13. I'm hoping this is it.
Where is St. Patrick when you need him?
