For the past few weeks, I've been noticing that we have two trees right beside our driveway that have been leaning precariously. As in, I don't let the kids play outside unsupervised right now because I'm afraid that those trees are going to come toppling down on their heads. So, using up some surplus testosterone, by hubbers borrowed my dad's chainsaw and brought them down (the trees that is, not his children). It was quite a multi-step process, and for a while, my hubs was stumped (ha! get it?) trying to figure out how to get them to fall without killing him. Fortunately, no hubbers were harmed in the posting of this blog.
Both of the trees were pines that had just died and rotted through. We seem to have a plethora of dead pines around here.
Hubs was taking a breather from all that manly work. Before his lovely wife could assign him the next Saturday task on the list. He's so thankful for me.
What would big Al do without you!?
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed with his tree cutting abilities--and in Birkenstocks even!
