Party Prep

In preparation for Matthew's camp-out birthday party coming up on Friday, I walked the "path" that Alan is going to use with the fellas for the "night hike." You know - to look for and pull up any poison ivy spotted along it. Parents frown on their children coming home from a party with an annoying, itchy rash. It just doesn't bode well for your own child's popularity value. And isn't that what birthday parties are all about?? Kidding. Really. Anyway, there is a large pine tree that fell about a year ago in the woods. And what's growing all over it? Poison ivy. And the vine of it that is sucked onto that tree is over an inch thick. That's what we've got growing over in our [literal] neck of the woods. I can't tell you how much PI I pulled down or out today. I'm sure I'll have a nice fresh crop of bumps tomorrow.

  1. One day when Matthew is unhappy, you can look into his eyes and I say, "Not only did I give birth to you... but I got a nasty case of PI pulling weeds for your birthday party." : ) That's love.

We can all be sweet and kind, yes? I am so thankful when my Wonder Readers share their positive thoughts with me!
