Creek Adventures

Although the boys had a great time camping, I think they were also glad to be back in familiar surroundings. We live in a perfect boy location: woods and creek! Matthew especially is always begging me to take him down to the creek (yes, he knows not to ever go by himself). Since the weather was so warm yesterday we agreed, and they raced to their rooms for their swimsuits. Alan invited my dad to come over and play, too. We are currently able to offer a wide selection of water shoes for our guests. Because we are just that hospitable. Michael's big deal yesterday was climbing up the hill and storming back down through the sand. Clearly my Michael will not be in the running for Mr. Hawaiian Tropic. Although that sticky outy belly button is charming.
Matthew enlisted his grandfather's aid and expertise in building the much needed dam across the creek. Fortunately, we have a whole stockpile of washed up wood from the flood earlier this month.
See how hard my little engineer works?
And my cutie hubbers was busy trying to catch
the little bottom feeder fish in our creek.
For his pail.

We can all be sweet and kind, yes? I am so thankful when my Wonder Readers share their positive thoughts with me!
