I'm sure you remember our
great excitement from Saturday morning, right? Well, as you might imagine, I've been a bit jumpy when I have been in our yard ever since. You just never know when the Vicious Attack Copperhead might come back! Well, not the dead one, but his cousin. Anyway, later Saturday morning, Alan had the audacity to take Michael to a yard sale and let him buy a beanbag cornsnake for a quarter. I mean, really. Do we need any more reptiles around here
??

As you can see, especially if you click on the picture to enlarge it, it is not unlike the one that met it's end in our yard. And when Michael leaves it in the living room and you happen to walk in there, minding your own business looking for a little Facebook time, but instead stumble upon said beanbag, well, let's just say it makes your heart stop for just a minute. And Alan and I had a good chuckle about that this weekend as that dumb cornsnake gave him a startle or two also.

Well, last night, after a long and tiring day of cleaning the house and educating the kiddos and trimming the bushes and cooking dinner and putting a roof on the house and building a library and walking to school both ways up hill barefoot in the snow, I was quite tired. My hubbers, the evil one, had beaten me to bed and was busily, innocently watching "
History Detectives" (a great show on PBS!). I went to pull the covers back, and what should appear between my pillows but a snake! A SNAKE! A VICIOUS ATTACK COPPERHEAD SNAKE!!! Or. Maybe a little beanbag cornsnake that had been tucked in there by the hubbers. I was just a smidge not happy and the perverse side of me came out this morning.

So, as we can see, two can play at that game. Very excited for hubbers to come to bed tonight. And I do not mean that in a
you-know-what way.

We can all be sweet and kind, yes? I am so thankful when my Wonder Readers share their positive thoughts with me!
