Fourth and a Half Snake

I'm not sure if this counts as an actual snake sighting.
I mean, it's not like the snake is still there.
But he (she?) was.
We think it's probably a black snake's skin, and you could clearly see where the eyes and head were.
Maybe it's from the one that's been hanging around our yard (we actually found this in the neighbor's pine needles)?
The shovel is for a size reference...the head end of the snake skin was all bunched up, so it's actually longer than it looks.

  1. seriously Jules, how do you still live there? I would have had to move by now..you are such a good woman! The other reptiles and animals I could tolerate but all the snakes would send me right over the edge!

  3. Um, yes. Snakes galore. But that's what we get for living where we are surrounded by woods on three sides and a creek. I've gotten desensitized - somewhat - to the snakes...

  4. Well, K, we used a different snake with the copperhead. It was a smidge sharper...

We can all be sweet and kind, yes? I am so thankful when my Wonder Readers share their positive thoughts with me!
